Art of Movement with Zoe Rappaport
Tuesday March 26
7:30 to 9 pm
art of movement is an experimental dance workshop for all ages & abilities to gain deeper awareness and understanding of their intrinsic artistry. Together, we co-create a welcome space for freedom of expression and explore the many facets of one’s unique movement language/voice. Designed for both experienced dancers/movers as well as first-timers, the workshop consists of a feel-good warm up, guided improvised movement, a bit of choreography & the opportunity to express oneself safely and freely while building community through the Art of Dance.
Grounded in the belief that movement was born to unify us as a people and communicate on a deeper level, Zoe Rappaport is an LA/NY-based Movement Director, Choreographer & Multi-Hyphenate Creative with over 15 years of experience bridging worlds with some of the top names across the industry. Founder of Storytelling Through Movement (STM) - a one-stop boutique shop for all things movement - Zoe has worked with global brands including Estée Lauder, Coca Cola, LOVE Magazine, Schön Magazine, HP, Vidal Sassoon, Grammy winning artists and pop culture icons. With an artistic sensibility that defies genre, era and style — she has been mentored by world-renowned choreographers while performing and/or showing work at venues such as Museum of Contemporary Art LA, Gibney Dance, Human Resources LA, Dance New Amsterdam, Terminal 5, Webster Hall, La Mama Experimental Theatre & many more.
