Himalayan Nettle Placemat
A sustainable dining textile handspun wild nettle yarn from the Himalayan region of Nepal. Himalayan Nettle Girardinia diversifolia is a wild bush plant widely found throughout the Himalayan forest of Nepal, growing up to 1.5 meters in height. It is a sustainable fiber because it requires less water and pesticides and grows naturally on fertile forest soil. Besides a sustainable fiber, Nettle plants are also used in making herbal tea, beer and fodder for livestock.
