Traguitos: Clay Copitas and Drinkware Workshop with Evelyn Hernandez

Evelyn Hernandez is an artist and designer from Los Ángeles, who primarily uses locally foraged and recycled clays in her work. She uses natural materials as a vehicle for grounding and reconnecting with herself, her heritage, her peers, the land and collective unconscious as a whole.

Traguitos (little sips): A clay copitas & drinkware workshop, is an ode to a universal ritual of connection that has been presented to her in her clay journey with others artists throughout the US and Mexico… this ritual is the act of sharing clay, and creating while conversing over drinks.

During the workshop participants will have the chance to taste and enjoy Jamaica based drinks by Condesa Gin and mezcal from Siete Misterios Mezcales, while being guided by Evelyn Hernandez into sculpting their own clay copitas and drinkware. All pieces will be collected, fired, and available for pick up at The Gorky around 3 weeks after the workshop.
